Research Project

This project will investigate cooperative algorithms, leveraging Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone communications using 5G networks, so as to enable a safe deployment of drone swarms, such as improving the detection and collision avoidance capabilities. The safe deployment of swarms of autonomous drones is an important requirement in surveying and last-mile delivery applications. Such airborne systems not only should avoid accidental collisions between members of a swarm.
