Through the ACT to Employ program, Carleton provides accommodation and capacity building support to employment partners who understand the potential of students with disabilities.
Through the Career Services Office, the ACT to Employ program (formerly know as Carleton University Accessible Experiential Learning (CUAEL) Project) places students with disabilities in experiential work opportunities and provides them with hands-on quality experiences while they complete their degree at Carleton.
In addition to offering a pool of talented students, Carleton is pleased to provide accommodation and accessibility support to employment partners throughout the hiring process and during the work term. This support includes:
- Job development
- Interview accommodation support
- Education and resources regarding student accommodation requests
- Referrals to community service partners and funding sources
- Open communication and check-ins regarding student performance
Contact the ACT to Employ office today if you would like to participate as an employer.
